The next few months will see Christopher release the 'Drifting E.P. on Carl Craig's Planet E Label, as well as a new E.P. on Glimpse Recordings, a collaboration with Compost's Jay Shepheard, entitled 'The Lions Share E.P.' which features the vocals of Ali Love. During 2009 he will also be composing his debut studio album on Four Twenty Records entitled 'Runner'. As well as touring with his live show, with dates already scheduled in North & South America, Japan and Europe.
From an early age, Christopher Spero had an interest in jazz, blues and techno, performing in several bands and releasing electronic music on various U.K. based labels under different aliases (Attic, Olek, and Spero). He then studied sculpture at Central Saint Martin's art college until 2000, after which he started up Glimpse Recordings with Kompakt. Glimpse is one of a few UK labels to be distributed through the Cologne-based company.
Last August, Christopher released the Black Collections album in Asia, which lead to two sell out tours in Japan in 2008. This was followed by the Raum Mix' and further tours of Asia & Brazil.
Glimpse's % black series tracks have been regular fixtures in the boxes of Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Jay Haze, Francis K, Ritchie Hawtin, Magda, Carl Craig, Mike Shannon, Jeff Mills, Troy Pierce, Konrad Black, Laurent Garnier and Adam Beyer amongst many others. His tracks have also been signed to numerous compilations including Richie Hawtin's Minus imprint.
